This Burns Night is truly a once in a life time experience. Not only does Burns Night occur on the 25th Day of the 25th year of the 21st century, it also occurs on the night of the closest planetary alignment of Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune and Uranus this century. If the skies are clear, we should be able to see Mars, Venus, Saturn and Jupiter with the naked eye and Neptune and Uranus with a telescope.
This makes Burns Night 2025 the most auspicious Burns Night events ever celebrated. It will not happen again during the next thousand years.
Of course the Wiltshire Caledonian Pipes & Drums will be helping our friends and their guests celebrate Burns Night all over Wiltshire, Hampshire, and the West Country.
Our Pipers and their 'Scallies' who will be performing the Address to the Haggis will be performing all over Wiltshire, Hampshire and the West Country at various Burns Night events. Some of these are ticketed event and some are open house events.
Why not celebrate Burns Night with the Wiltshire Caledonian Pipes & Drums near you. Enjoy a night of feasting and entertainment at the venues listed below
This is an event not to miss! Please turn out and support this amazing fundraiser, led by the Worshipful the Mayor: Councillor Ian Jeffrey of Test Valley Borough Council.
All funds raised will donated in aid of the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance, Jumbulance and a number of smaller charities.
It will be another 100 years before Burns Night falls on the 25th day of the 25th year of the century, and over a thousand years before Burns Night falls on the night of the planetary alignment - a very lucky and highly auspicious event.
Join us at the Crosfield Hall, Romsey from 6:30pm until 10:30 pm to celebrate and to raise funds for deserving charities
Music will be played throughout the evening, with guests being greeted by one of the Wiltshire Caledonian Pipes & Drums band lead pipers, Mr Eric Dougherty, playing traditional music and leading the Haggis into the venue.
We ask that all guests help to make this evening a very special and successful one so we ask that gentlemen observe either black tie, suite or formal Highland dress, and ladies wear evening dress.
The ticket price includes a welcome drink, and a traditional four course Burns Night supper with accompanying wine, a formal address to the Haggis, dancing, raffle and auction.
The star prize is a week for four persons in a cottage overlooking Robin Hood's Bay in Yorkshire.
